Merry Christmas!

Yes, I say Merry Christmas. But I’m not insulted if you wish me “Happy Holidays,” or “Happy Kwanzaa,” or “Happy Hanukkah,” or “Seasons Greetings.” I wish you what I know best and you wish me what you know best. The point is to express our hopes for peace and love to one another.

I think many Christians who are upset if you wish them anything but “Merry Christmas,” aren’t aware of the history of Christmas. Check out this animated link. It’s short, about four minutes.

However you celebrate or recognize this time of year, may it be filled with love, peace, and hope. And, may 2017 be a year of renewed love of life.
